July 14, 1st
of 3 rally sessions in preparation for the competition
at the National,Neuman's gym, Frederick, MD
You and Your Beardie Will Love It!
Registration Deadline is July 11
Want to have some fun and at the same time hone some of your
Beardie
communications skills and perhaps earn an AKC title? What
better place to begin
your title quest than at the national specialty this
October? There will only be
other Beardies there so it will be a great place start. On
Saturday July 14, 2007,
the NCBCC will offer the first of three training sessions
for you and your Beardie
in a new AKC dog obedience skill called AKC Rally. All
sessions are geared for the
beginner rally level.
Your instructor for session one is NCBCC’s own Terry
Johnson. Terry will explain
each exercise for AKC Novice using pictures and a demo. You
will then practice
the exercises with your Beardie with Terry as your coach and
assisted by other
experienced club members. The beginning level of rally is
all on leash and you
may talk to your dog the whole time you are in the ring. You
follow the course
set by the judge and perform the exercises on each sign you
come to. It’s a lot
of fun for you and your Beardie.
Session 1 is at the Frederick Athletic Club (indoors), 5245
Westview Drive,
Frederick, MD, tel. 301-668-0160 from 9 am to 11 am.
Session
2 is on August 18
Session 3 is on September 8 (see calendar).
Prerequisite: Your Beardie must know how to sit , down and
come on
command (everything on leash) and be able to walk on the
leash without
constant pulling.
The cost is FREE but approximately eight Beardie teams need
