NCBCC Standing Rules

NCBCC Application

NCBCC Constitution NCBCC Standing Rules
.NCBCC Standing Rules --  January 2004

00/01-01 The treasurer is authorized to reimburse the host of a club event up to $25 for expenses incurred for that event. Amounts over $25 may be reimbursed with board approval and appropriate receipts.

00/01-02 No member shall obligate the NCBCC for any financial liability greater than $25 without prior board approval.

00/02-03 If, six months after receipt of an application from a prospective member, that member has not attended a club function, an inquiry will be sent. If a positive response is received, the applicant will be carried another 60 days to allow the applicant to attend a minimum of one function.

00/05-04 (1) The board, by majority vote, may permit use of the NCBCC membership list to an interested party free of charge on the following conditions:

a.        The purpose of the mailing is noncommercial and of benefit to the club members and/9or the larger beardie-loving community.

b.       The list will be used only once for the above purpose, and additional uses will require a return to the board for approval.

c.        The mailing list will not be given outright to the requestor, but instead the requestor will be asked to provide the relevant materials to the club secretary, and these will be included in the club’s next newsletter, if the cost of the additional pages is considered to be minor by the board.

 (2) Where the party requesting the list wishes one or more of the above conditions to be waived in whole or in part, the board will make a recommendation to the membership concerning the proposed terms and conditions, and the club members will vote on use of the list. Under no circumstances will the list be used for commercial purposes without a vote by the membership; commercial users will be expected to pay a few for use of the list unless such a fee is waived by vote of the board.

00/07-05 When a challenge trophy is retired, the retiree is given first choice to replace it. If the retiree chooses not to replace it, a notice will be placed in the newsletter stating that said trophy is available for sponsorship. If more than one person wants to replace it, the board will decide the outcome.

00/09-06 The board may conduct votes on matters of previously discussed old business by the most expeditious electronic means available. In addition, the board may, by unanimous consent only, conduct votes on new business or on time-sensitive matters, by the most expeditious electronic means available.
